While most of our raw material is ordered cut to size for specific jobs, our vertical band saw is invaluable during prototyping and one-off work, allowing us to quickly prepare stock to the right size before machining. This helps reduce CNC machining time and avoids unnecessary material waste.

It also plays an important role between CNC operations. Where multiple parts are machined or nested together from a single piece of material, the band saw makes quick work of separating them ready for subsequent machining operations.

It’s a simple tool, but an important part of keeping jobs moving efficiently through the workshop.
